ABOUT THE FOUNDATION

The F.O.E. Charity Foundation hosts a variety of funds - each dedicated to a specific cause - which collect donations from our nearly 3,000 Aeries and Auxiliaries for the purposes of awarding grants to local and/or international organizations dedicated to research and patient care.
In compliance with our promise to use 100% of all donations for the intended purpose, grant recipients are required to prove that no portion of the grant received will be used to fund administrative costs.
Each year our members help give nearly $10 million to community and nationwide organizations helping better lives and donate countless hours of their time to a wide array of fundraisers.
Since 1898, the F.O.E. has worked to establish a philanthropic legacy, becoming the first organization to donate $1 million to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, donating several hundred thousand in aid to help solidify the Truman Cardiovascular Lab and Heart Fund Research Lab at Sutton Medical Research Foundation, and our crown jewel - the $25 million Fraternal Order of Eagles Diabetes Research Center at the University of Iowa.
Eagles are giving people and our Charity Foundation is a perfect representation of why we're known throughout the world as "People Helping People."

H.O.M.E. Fund

Any charitable causes Aeries or Auxiliaries wish to support which do not fall within the funds of the Charity Foundation or do not meet the Charity Foundation's guidelines may be passed through the H.O.M.E. Fund (Hands of Many Eagles). The H.O.M.E. Fund is housed within the Memorial Foundation and allows for donations to organizations not permitted by the Charity Foundation.
